Kettlethorpe High School is going to “twin” with the New Age Prep. School in Ghana.  Our pupils will be able to correspond with the school pupils, and there are plans to forward disposable cameras (and postage!) so that we can get a further “flavour” of day-to-day life at the school.

Fund raising is another area where K.H.S. pupils are keen to be involved.  The materials to fund a new school block, of several classrooms and offices would cost approximately £700, with the villagers supplying the labour and skills.

Our pupils have already raised £250 towards this initial target, through activities as diverse as K band v S band Year 8 football, “Guess the number of sweets in the jar”, and “Guess the name of the teddy”.  Other activities are planned for the near future.
