You have been employed
by the East Coast Heritage Society to produce an exhibition. This is
to educate people about the floods and about flood prevention. You are
to:-
Part 1 : Explain the causes
of the flood including information how the following each contributed
to the disaster

Surges
·
River conditions feeding
the North Sea
Part 2
: Describe the effects on:-

People
·
Buildings
·
The economy (farming,
factories and shops, banks etc)
Part 3 : Outline actions taken
to reduce the likelihood of such a flood occurring on the same scale
again.
The work may be in one of the four following ways:-
1.
An illustrated essay
2.
A memorial edition newspaper
about the floods published 50 years later
3.
A series of Picture
Boards such as you would have in an exhibition hall
4.
A power Point Presentation

(Be careful in searching

take you to all floods in 1953 e.g. Holland that was also terribly flooding
at the same time as us)
