| We aim to maintain and stimulate interest and curiosity in Geography. We aim for students to acquire knowledge and understanding of the terminology, skills and techniques specific to Geography both inside the classroom and through fieldwork. By studying Geography you will gain a sense of location, knowledge of places and respect for different cultures and empathy for others in similar or different societies. You will become aware that the actions or attitudes of others, who use manage or make decisions about their physical, economic, social, political and cultural environments can affect the landscape. Geography students will soon begin to appreciate that Geography is dynamic and changes rapidly every day. New ideas and methods lead to new interpretation and explanation of the World around us. Lessons are taught in three well equipped rooms. Each room has an interactive white board and video facilities. There are also suites of computers which can be accessed within the department. |
